Unfortunately, Benjamin left us at the early age of seventy one, during a peak of creative activity and relaxed contentment when a fortuitous journey into Morocco and the subtle Sufi rhythms heard there, re-engaged him with the potential in the sizzling, vibrating colour he had used in producing the electronic music inspired, ‘Roxy Bias Suite’ of screen prints in the early 1970s. As well as the powerful effect the music of Morocco had on him, the differing attitudes to life and creativity encountered there, helped him to focus his diverse creative skills into producing the vibrant ‘Late Paintings’ … Welcome to the Benjamin Website !'
